Founder and Lead Educator
Founder and Lead Educator
Jalin Hill is the photographer and entrepreneur behind Jphotos and The Frame. Entering his eighth year in photography, he has developed his approach through portraits, events, editorial concepts, sports production, client work, teaching, and continuous technical experimentation.
His work centers on intentional lighting, strong in-camera execution, natural color, and quickly identifying technical problems. Through Jphotos and independent media work, Jalin has supported ESPN+ productions, photographed assignments for local media organizations, been recognized as a 25 Under 40 honoree, had his work published in more than four national magazines, and appeared across more than 20 newspapers.
The Frame brings those experiences into one educational platform built around a simple belief: photographers deserve to understand the decisions behind professional work—not remain dependent on someone else’s settings.
